# veCASH Staking

Vote-Escrow Cash (veCASH) is a non-transferable governance token which will be used to vote on proposals within the bCASH ecosystem. For now, votes will be held via Snapshot.org:

veCASH can only be accrued by staking bCASH according to this formula and table:

The NFTs referenced are from the collection [Papilio Palatia](https://campfire.exchange/collections/0xe80e87f412d2cc73045b73ef7e07a47ef0a41cc0?sortType=price\&sortDirection=asc\&onlyForSale=false), which was a collaboration between [taptapkaboom](https://twitter.com/taptapkaboom) and The bCASH Foundation, LLC. These NFTs can be staked to earn a boost in veCASH production.&#x20;

Please note that unstaking **any amount** of bCASH from the veCASH contract not only incurs a 10% tax, but also burns all of your accrued veCASH.
