All proposals should be submitted between 0000-2359 EST on a Friday, and the voting period should end at 2359 EST on the following Tuesday. Proposals should be well-defined and have clear outcomes. These NFTs can be staked to earn a boost in veCASH production. Please note that unstaking **any amount** of bCASH from the veCASH contract not only incurs a 10% tax, but also burns all of your accrued veCASH. # Single-sided Staking Staked bCASH ($sbCASH) The sbCASH contract allows holders to stake their bCASH for a minimum of 1 week in order to share in the transaction fees generated by bCASH activity. After a 1-week staking period, stakers can compound their rewards or withdraw all bCASH (which incurs a 10% tax). Please note that during times of low bCASH activity it may not be profitable to stake bCASH in this contract. Another thing to note is that your share of the staking pool will fluctuate as more people stake or compound. It is common to see your share decrease over the staking period, particularly in times of low transaction volume. # LP Farms Stake your LP tokens for $bCASH Currently we have enabled farming of LP tokens for $bCASH. [Staking Dashboard](https://stake.butterflycash.io) Current reward rates (subject to change): * Pangolin: 25 $bCASH per 1 AVAX in staked LP per day * Rewards reduced from 50 to 25 on 1/1/2023 * ~~Trader Joe: 20 $bCASH per 1 AVAX in staked LP per day~~ * Rewards reduced to 0 on 1/1/2023 # The Token Lockers Preserving longevity through management of circulating supply When [$bCASH](https://twitter.com/search?q=%24bCASH\&src=cashtag_click) was deployed, millions of tokens were given to members of the community who happened to be in the right place at the right time. Over the next few days the value of these tokens appreciated rapidly on the open market. Because of this, two time-vesting token locker contracts were deployed and can be viewed on the [contracts page](/contracts). The locker contracts function similarly, with variations in the time until first release as well as the amount released after each time interval as follows: **TOKEN LOCKER #1:** * 1 million $bCASH max lock * Each unlock releases 45k (50k - tax) $bCASH to the depositor. * First unlock either 4 or 6 weeks after deposit * This is done to stagger releases as to not have all tokens released hit the market at the same time * Subsequent unlocks happen every 4 weeks until the deposited balance is fully returned to the depositor **TOKEN LOCKER #2:** * No max lock * Each unlock releases 450k (500k - tax) $bCASH to the depositor. * First unlock 52 weeks (1 year) after deposit * Subsequent unlocks happen every 4 weeks until the deposited balance is fully returned to the depositor At the time of this writing (9/18/2022), over 25 million $bCASH was locked in the locker contracts. # Faucet - Deprecated Free $bCASH for the community At the launch of $bCASH there was a faucet that allowed anyone to dispense 10k tokens each day. As the token price began appreciating, this amount was adjusted downward to 5k and then eventually 2k until the faucet was ultimately turned off due to bots taking advantage of the system. A [new faucet](https://faucet.butterflycash.lol) was developed that used a Merkel Tree to whitelist the holders of various NFT projects at the time a snapshot was taken (approximately 9PM EST, 9/19/2022). Each transfer of $bCASH, much like the flight of a butterfly, does not go directly to its intended destination. Instead, the transfer is first handled by an intermediary (staker). Intermediaries take 10% of the transfer and send the rest to the intended recipient. The initial staking system was deemed unsustainable by the community, as all of the rewards flowed to the top 10-20 holders. To resolve this issue, all staking slots in the contract were replaced with BCashStakoor contracts. These BCashStakoor contracts are a key part of a new Multi-Contract Rewards Architecture that will allow $bCASH transfer fees to be used for a variety of rewards programs in a very flexible manner. # Roadmap What is the goal here? The success of Butterfly Cash has been quite surprising. There was not much of a roadmap to begin with as this was merely an experiment that, like a caterpillar going through metamorphosis, evolved into something much greater. While we do not have a defined timeline, next up on our list of things to do: 1. ~~LP Incentives~~ 2. ~~Single-sided $bCASH staking~~ 3. Community contests 4. Explore the possibility of project incubation 5. Explore the possibility of a community AVAX Validator **UPDATE 11/29/2022** While the above tentative roadmap has had some items checked off, and others that are still possibilities, the direction of bCASH has changed since its inception.
